Best way to relax and deal with stress?
I’m a full time carer for my mother and the stress is really starting to get to me. She can not be left alone so I am with her 24/7. Is there any way to deal with the stress or am I just clutching at straws?
Please look in the yellow pages for services to help with respite care. There are also caregivers who come into the home and assist with the elderly.
I am sorry your feeling so overwhelmed right now, and understand why. It is very taxing and strenuous work. do you have any siblings that could assist with your mother? You need to take care of your needs too, and deserve a break. Call rest homes to, and ask about information on elderly care that live at home, maybe they can lead you to the right direction. I am sure there has to be county services out there for you that will offer assistance.
